Dtonic Named as Official “AI Factory Specialist” by Korean Government

Dtonic, an AI data platform startup, announced on the 18th that it has been officially designated as an “AI Factory Specialist” under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s program led by the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT).

The designation is part of a national initiative to identify and support leading companies driving AI-powered manufacturing innovation, with the goal of strengthening industrial competitiveness.

Founded in 2014 as a spin-off from Hyundai Motor Company, Dtonic has been providing AI data solutions to a wide range of clients in Korea and abroad. Its technology helps manufacturers and distributors accelerate their AI transformation (AX), resulting in higher efficiency and reduced defect rates. The company has also been recognized for its expertise in smart city and smart factory development. Among the reasons for its selection as an AI Factory Specialist is its portfolio of patents related to autonomous AI-driven manufacturing.

Dtonic currently operates three core platforms. D.Hub is the company’s AI data platform. D.Eview is an intelligent display platform that supports AX for existing display systems. D.Edge is an AI and IoT platform designed to integrate and process data at the edge.

A Dtonic representative commented, “Being named as an AI Factory Specialist, which is part of a national strategic project, opens the door for us to bring our AI data platform into more real-world manufacturing environments.”
