Dtonic is accelerating its Southeast Asian expansion, leveraging the growing momentum of Korea–Vietnam AI cooperation. During President Lee Jae-myung's four-day state visit to Vietnam (April 21–24, 2026) — a high-profile diplomatic trip that placed AI and technology partnership at the center of the bilateral agenda — Dtonic was among the Korean companies invited to present at official engagements, where it outlined a Korea–Vietnam AI industry development roadmap.

On April 22, Jun Gyeong-ju, Co-CEO of Dtonic Vietnam, was among the invitees at a reception held for the Korean business community in Vietnam, where she met President Lee. At the same gathering, Ahn Young-su, CEO of Dtonic Vietnam, addressed the audience directly — calling for an expansion of Korea's official development assistance (ODA) framework into what he termed "AI ODA": a dedicated program channeling government-backed cooperation specifically toward AI-driven digital transformation projects in Vietnam.

Dtonic already has an established footprint in the country. Under a Korean government ODA initiative, the company has deployed its AI platform D.Hub in Hue — a historic city in central Vietnam and former imperial capital — as part of a smart city transition project. Dtonic is also collaborating with Vinh Long Province, a key province in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam, on building a broader smart city ecosystem.

Beyond public-sector work, Dtonic has secured commercial traction in the private sector as well, supplying its intelligent display AI platform D.EView to major local retail companies. These on-the-ground references — across both government and commercial sectors — are central to Dtonic's strategy for broader regional expansion.

The momentum around the state visit has been tangible: Dtonic reported a significant surge in local business meeting requests from both Vietnamese and Korean firms in the period around President Lee's visit, reflecting heightened interest in Korea–Vietnam AI and R&D collaboration. Ahn Young-su also serves as chairman of the ICT Business Council at KOCHAM (Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam), through which he actively supports Korean tech companies establishing themselves in the local market.

Looking ahead, Dtonic plans to use its Vietnam credentials as a springboard into Malaysia and other neighboring ASEAN nations — a bloc of over 670 million people representing one of the world's fastest-growing digital markets — with the goal of building a region-wide "actionable AI hub."
