Dtonic-Powered Emergency Medical System in Gyeongnam Wins Presidential Award
Dtonic was recently featured in News1 Korea for its role in supporting an award-winning emergency medical system in Gyeongnam Province.
The system, powered by Dtonic’s AI data platform D.Hub, received the Presidential Award at the 2025 Government Innovation Awards, recognizing its impact in improving emergency response operations.
As part of Korea’s smart city data hub initiative, Gyeongnam implemented a real-time emergency response system connecting all regional emergency medical institutions with the national 119 ambulance service.
Using D.Hub, emergency dispatch and transport data are collected and analyzed in real time, enabling immediate detection of delays or abnormal situations. This allows faster coordination between ambulance teams and hospitals, improving overall response efficiency.
One of the key features of the system is a real-time alert mechanism:
as soon as an emergency patient transport request is received, a visual alert is automatically triggered in hospital control rooms, ensuring immediate awareness and faster decision-making.
The system is integrated with hospital-level agents and provides clear visual signals, allowing medical staff to instantly recognize incoming emergency cases.
Following its implementation, response rates within the emergency system increased significantly—nearly doubling from 33.5% to 66.5%—highlighting the effectiveness of real-time data integration in critical situations.
A Gyeongnam official noted that the award reflects both the region’s commitment to protecting emergency response “golden time” and the role of advanced IT technology in making it possible.
Dtonic emphasized that it will continue to advance its AI data platform capabilities, enabling more data-driven public services and real-world applications.
